UK EP BROWN SUGAR

RS 19100

RS 19100 - advance test pressing

(A)

Brown Sugar (3.50)

(B)

Bitch (3.42)

Let It Rock (2.32) (15 March 1971, Leeds University, Leeds)

Re-released on 29 June 1984 as a two track single (minus Let It rock) & limited edition shaped picture disc. And again on 24 April 2011 (International Record Store Day)

Cat. No: RS 19100 (1971 EP) / SUGAR 1 (1984,  7") / SUGAR P1 (1984, picture disc) / Polydor RSD11rstones (2011, 7" EP)

Later pressings of the EP came with the Tongue company sleeve.

Just three other countries released this record as a three track EP (France, Lebanon and in 1974, Yugoslavia, everwhere else it was released as a two track single, minus Let It Rock

Let It Rock (Chuck Berry cover) recorded live at Leeds University, March 13 1971. Countless bootleg releases contains the entire BBC radio broadcast of the Concert eg. Live At Leeds

The 1984 re-issue was released with the same cover all over the world, but the shaped picture disc were only availble in the UK (and soon became a collector's item).

Only first copies had labels with small middle holes (plain labels), second pressings had labels so-called "push-out" centers
